Bill Bryson, a long time Anchorage defense attorney, died yesterday. He was on the board of NACDL and an instructor at NCDC. I enjoyed talking to and learning from Bill at local bar meetings. The quality of the Alaska bar has diminished with his passing. Rest in peace, my friend, rest in peace.
What a shock. Bryson was the defense attorney for my friend; he did the paperwork for me as a third party. He didn't appear to be unhappy or sucicidal to me any on the many times I saw him in court recently. He looked like he had a good life.

He was a magnificent defense attorney who was concerned about the humanity of his clients, - a wonderful and intensely creative human being, and a good friend. The world is diminished by his passing. He will be greatly missed- and always remembered.

The Class of 1965 Arlington High School, Arlington, Washington, is greatly sadden by the loss of our classmate, Bill Bryson. The memory of his wit and friendship will always be with us.

He was a brillant man, but unfortunately he had a drug and alcohol addiction many people may or may not know of and I believe that and depression is what made him make the decision he made. Unfortunately many people don't realize that pot (and alcohol) trigger depression in many people. that coupled with a little financial strain and you have a bad mix.
So although it is sad, his demise is more about an addiction, than who the man really was and what he offered the world.

Sarah's comments speak more to her problems than to Bill's. Pot did not make for an issue. Silly Sarah is doing a major leap to involve marijauna, and I feel her comments suck.

His demise was about his demise-for whatever reason- about the loss to this world of a man who was creative, intelligent- an avid defender - and a good friend.

I was a recent student of his at the National Criminal Defense College in Macon. I just learned of Bill's death today and am completely devestated. Notwithstanding the demons he faced, he was an incredibly generous and dedicated man who embodied what it means to be an advocate..his gift adn legacy will live on with the many other students he taught and the lawyers who practiced with him.

I didn't know Bill Bryson. I went to an auction and bid on some record albums that I didn't know belonged to Bill. I thought I was getting 30 or so albums, but as it turns out I ended up with 500+
Bill collected these for many years and as I am also a child of the 60's, I was overwhelmed and overjoyed. I wanted people who care about Bill to know that I intend on taking very good care of his collection and I can't tell you the hours of pure joy my family and I have had listening to his music.
I think about Bill whenever I listen to one of his records, and I thank him for his great music. I want his friends to know that his love of music will live on in my home.

It's sad hear of any loss of human life. No matter what social life one chooses, its not our place on earth to ridicule and judge a person that has lost life no matter, how much ome wants to flap the lIps. Although, personally, I did not know Attorney Bill Byson, his legend will forever exist here gm ALASKA, and no doubt throughout his travel AND abundance of StrIvde teaching THE world what he new best, "The Law". as for many, Bill Bryson no doubt was a human being, a son, a man of Law, a Legend in his KInd, may God Bless his loved ones, his soul and may he forever be given the dignity, repect, well deserved of any being on earth. MAY HIS SPIRIT BE KNOWN AS ON EARTH, IN THE GOLDEN GATES OF THE OPENING DOORS OF HEAVEN. LORD, WE THANK YOU FOR THE SERENITY AND NURTURE YOU EMBRACE OUR FRIEND BILL WITH, AMEN

A soul of a being
Carry the power an endurance to rescue the unknown. So many questions, we ask for THE answers. May they empower the influence of THE ones with THE Rulings, as for he god lays to serv, shall serve throughout eternal life thereof, Amen
