Melissa

You are very lucky.

I live in New Hampshire, where the death penalty is alive and well. We had two capital cases this year - one with a rich white guy (who got life in prison) and one with a poor black man (who got the death penalty). It has torn our communities apart...

I am against it as the process is so arduous as to negate any arguments purporting a deterrent effect.

I have zero concern viz a viz racism. Classism is alive and well for affluent blacks and all of the rich and will never be overcome.

Mistakes and corruption are valid arguments and, as I stated, I am against it. I think in certain instances individuals need a quick departure. Accidentally maybe? "He slipped and hit his head"?

Every morning I see my coffee cup and it's warning and despair that I ever esteemed lawyers. Anyone who wishes to even intervene to stop a crime or save a woman getting raped risks...and risks...and risks.

The hippy claptrap garbage railing against so much including the death penalty has failed so painfully as to induce nausea over nostalgia. The world is now a baby boomer creation. They own it. Trust no one over thirty. Wish I could laugh through the nausea.

sorry for the rant.

I do like your blog...
